Board Making Conditions of Particle Board Production Line

 

Adhesive: MDI glue, sizing amount 5%.

Sheet size: 320mm*300mm*16mm.

Pressed 3 structures of panels:

1#: The large wood shavings are used as the surface layer, and the large shavings of palm branches and leaves are used as the core layer, which are paved by hand to prepare oriented strand board. Wood shavings: palm shavings = 1:1;

2#: Large pieces of shavings from palm branches and leaves are used as the surface layer, and large pieces of wood shavings are used as the core layer, which are paved by hand to prepare oriented strand board. Wood shavings: palm shavings = 1:1;

3#: all use palm leaves and fine shavings to press the particleboard.

 

3. PlatePerformance Testing

1# and 2# boards are tested for density, moisture content, water absorption thickness expansion rate (2h 24h), static bending strength (parallel and perpendicular), elastic modulus (parallel and perpendicular), board The force of holding the screw is shown in Table 1 for the data.

3# board is tested in accordance with GB/T 4897-2015 "Particleboard" standard for density, moisture content, water absorption thickness expansion rate (2h, 24h), static bending strength, elastic modulus, board surface holding screw force, board edge holding screw force, See Table 1 for the data.

 

4. Result analysis

The 24h water absorption thickness expansion rate, internal bonding strength, static bending strength (parallel and vertical), and elastic modulus (parallel and vertical) of 1# board all meet the load-bearing board under the dry state of LY/T 1580 "Oriented Strand Board" (OSB /2 type) requirements; the screw holding force meets the requirements of GB/T 4897-2015 "Particleboard" standard.

The static bending strength (parallel and vertical) and elastic modulus (parallel and vertical) of 2# board meet the requirements of LY/T 1580 "Oriented Strand Board" under the dry state of the load-bearing board (OSB/2 type); the screw holding force reaches GB/T 4897-2015 "Particleboard" standard requirements. However, the internal bonding strength and 24h water absorption thickness expansion rate were unqualified.

3# board water absorption thickness expansion rate, internal bonding strength, static bending strength, elastic modulus, board surface screw holding force, and board edge screw holding force all meet the furniture type particleboard used in the dry state of GB/T 4897-2015 "Particleboard" (Type P2) required.

To sum up, the performance indicators of OSB with wood particle surface + palm core are good and have met the requirements of relevant standards; the internal bonding strength and water absorption thickness expansion rate of OSB with palm surface + wood particle core need to be further tested and improved; Particleboard pressed from shavings is available as furniture-type particleboard (type P2) in the dry state.

 

5. The next test

1) By adding a waterproofing agent, the water-absorbing thickness expansion rate of the board is improved, and the moisture-proof performance is improved.

2) Due to the small number of pressing plates this time, the plate making process conditions need to be greatly optimized to improve the physical and mechanical properties of the plate.

3) Palm shavings are less, and the shape of the shavings needs to be further optimized to improve the utilization rate of raw materials.
